Terms of Use

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Jannah ("Jannah", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the Jannah mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to create an account and use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the App with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

The App provides prayer time calculations, Qibla direction, Quran and dhikr/tasbih tools, Islamic calendar information, notifications and reminders, and optional premium features made available through a subscription. Prayer times and Qibla direction are calculated based on your device location or manually selected city and standard astronomical calculation methods; results are provided for guidance and convenience.

Certain features require creating an account using email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. You agree to: provide accurate information; keep your login credentials confidential; notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account; and accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

The App offers optional premium subscriptions that unlock additional features (such as additional themes, fonts, an ad-free experience, and other premium content). Subscriptions are billed and processed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, using the plans, durations, and prices displayed to you in the App at the time of purchase.

Auto-renewal: subscriptions automatically renew for the same duration unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and your payment method will be charged for renewal through your Apple ID or Google Play account

Free trials: if a subscription plan includes a free trial, its duration and conditions will be disclosed at the time of purchase; unless canceled before the trial ends, it will automatically convert into a paid subscription

Cancellation: you may cancel auto-renewal at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account subscription settings; canceling does not retroactively refund amounts already paid

Refunds: all purchases are subject to the refund policies of Apple or Google, as applicable; we do not process payments or refunds directly and cannot guarantee a refund on their behalf

Price changes: we may change subscription prices going forward; where required, you will be notified before any change applies to you

When using the App, you agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation

Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except to the extent permitted by law

Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, or related systems

Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the App without our prior written consent

Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or otherwise objectionable

Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any premium subscription or content-access restrictions

Certain features allow you to submit content, such as feedback, quiz answers, a profile picture, or stories. You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely as necessary to operate and provide the App's features to you. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and represent that you have the necessary rights to share it. We may remove or disable access to content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, without prior notice.

The App, including its design, software, graphics, logos, and original content created by us, is owned by Jannah or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. Quranic text, translations, and other religious reference content displayed in the App are drawn from sources we believe to be reliable; we do not claim proprietary ownership over the underlying religious texts themselves. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its original content, or reverse engineer any portion of the App, except as permitted by applicable law.

The App relies on third-party services, including Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Google AdMob, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, and the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Your use of these third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third parties.

The App may display third-party advertisements, served through Google AdMob, to users without an active premium subscription. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of any advertisement, or for the products or services of any advertiser. Interactions with advertisements, including any purchases, are solely between you and the relevant advertiser.

From time to time, we may make beta, preview, or experimental features available for testing. These features are provided "as is", may be incomplete, may contain errors, and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice and without liability to you.

We aim to keep the App available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, internet or device failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App, temporarily or permanently, at any time, with or without notice.

THE APP AND ALL CONTENT, INCLUDING PRAYER TIME AND QIBLA DIRECTION CALCULATIONS, ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Prayer times and Qibla direction are calculated using standard astronomical methods and the location data available to the App, and are provided for guidance and convenience only. We do not guarantee their absolute accuracy for every location, device, or calculation method, and we recommend verifying critical religious observance timing against your local mosque or a recognized local religious authority where accuracy is essential. We do not warrant that content in the App (including any religious or reference content) is complete, reliable, current, or error-free.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JANNAH AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD 50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages or warranties, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you in full; in such cases, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Jannah, its developers, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with: your access to or use of the App; your violation of these Terms; or your violation of any rights of a third party.

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or unlawful activity, or created risk or legal exposure for us. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 13, 14, 15, and 18-23) will survive.

We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, pandemics, labor disputes, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, or failures of third-party service providers (including Apple, Google, or Firebase infrastructure).

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Insert Governing Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply and provide you with additional rights.

We encourage you to contact us first at the email address in Section 25 to resolve any dispute informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Insert Venue / Dispute-Resolution Mechanism], except where applicable law grants you the right to bring a claim in the courts of your own country of residence.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Jannah.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Jannah regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral, relating to its subject matter.

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights or obligations under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms, in whole or in part, without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of these Terms and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after a change becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
